Paper Sweeties Challenge - May 2017 Anything Goes!

Welcome to the May Anything Goes Challenge over at Paper Sweeties!  It's another beauty of an Inspiration Photo and here is how it inspired me:

When I started out, I thought I'd make all of my Pretty Posies in pink and beige like in the photo, but I decided to add a pop of yellow.  The foggy window in the background inspired me ... for me it translated to that green background paper with the vellum scalloped square over it...

At first I thought it was a jar full of pennies... the coppery color inspired me to emboss my sentiment from the Love You To Pieces set and the Basket stamp in copper... I masked the sentiment so I could put part of it on my banner from the Hello Friend stamp set and Be Happy Sweet Cuts.

I chose to add the dragonfly from the Bee Happy stamp set and the cute little lady bug as well...

Isn't she a sweetie?  And I loved the opportunity to use my Latte Sequins... a special limited edition sequin mix inspired by the Coffee Lovers Hop... the colors were perfect for this card!

So thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit with all of my teamies to see how this gorgeous photo inspired them!

Fluttering By With a Sweet Treat (Bag)

So glad you stopped by today!  I'm sharing another treat bag I made using the new Craftin Desert Divas Treat Bag Die!

Love this potted flower from the Flower Power Digi Set... I colored it with my copics and then scattered around a few CDD sequins...

And these cuties!  I've had the idea for a while to use the flower and have these guys fluttering about overhead.  I think if I make another, I'll get some clear plastic sticks to attach them to..

They are just so happy!  Looks like a couple sequins stuck to them... that's just too bad... that happens to me all the time...

Love that there are different flutterbies in this set!

The pretty papers are from Reverse Confetti... I love the pattern, so pretty, but light enough to let the digis shine...

I'm playing along with the Spring Challenge over at Sunny Day Crafting and the Anything But A Card Challenge over at the Pause Dream Enjoy Linky Party!

Hope you enjoyed your visit today... short and sweet so you can get on with your blog visiting!  Be sure to come back tomorrow... a lot going on around here this week!

This Life Is Pretty Amazing-Unity Stamps

Happy Day!  I'm finally getting a chance to use my beautiful Unity Spring To Go coffee cup set that I bought with the intention of using it during the Spring Coffee Hop, but I ran out of time.  In my effort to use some leftovers and items I haven't used before, I thought this would be a good time to start!  A little reward for cleaning up my craft room... and it still looks pretty good!  I'm playing along with the Black, Green, and White challenge over on the Facebook Unity Show and Tell Group.  The motto is that they inspire and don't require, so hopefully it's ok I used a little silver and pink...

I've had the vellum lacy border and embossed diamond background laying around for a while... they were perfect for this one...

Just love this beautiful cup with the delicate flowers ... I had gotten those leaf stickers in a pile of stuff from a coworker and had them sitting out for a while so I used them up for this project!  And just got those pretty Tim Holtz white flowers this weekend at my LSS.

That pretty green splattered paper is also a leftover from a previous project...

Unity has some beautiful stamp sets, but my favorite are the sentiments... Love all of the beautiful and inspiring sentiments they carry... this one and another came with the coffee cup... I embossed it in silver because there were some bits of silver in the stickers...

See... silver.... and those pretty green sequins... I'm not sure but I think they might be from Pretty Pink Posh...

I had a few stickers left over and I'll be darned if I was going to have them laying around any longer ... I normally don't get to the insides of my cards even though I love it when people do but decided this was the right occasion to do so... no more leftovers!  A few less things laying around on my desk and a pretty coffee card to boot... you should play along too if you have some Unity stamps and if you don't... you should get some...lol!  There are plenty to choose from!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #209

Welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  This week I'm using the Some Kinda Wonderful paper pack again and participating in a few challenges that are going on right now using this paper (or) colors.  Links are below!

I needed a quick card ... not a ton of time for creating this weekend... so much easier when I start with one of Michelle's great sketches and a fun CTMH paper pack and matching Complements!

I also used the Some Kinda Wonderful Cardmaking Stamp Set... aren't these two friends cuties??  And I used the Craftin Desert Divas scalloped frames and that cute little scribbled circle die... and the stars on that die reminded me of these cute little black enamel starts I got from CTMH so long ago....

My sentiment and that cute heart are in the Complements pack and coordinated perfectly and worked perfectly for the sketch...

I'm hoping you'll play along with us this week at Atlantic Hearts... and if you do and use the Some Kinda Wonderful papers (or) colors you can also play along with the Three Amigos Blog Hop (thru 4/30), Color My Heart Colordare (thru 4/27), Between the Folds (thru today 4/24), and Heart2Heart Challenges (thru 4/30)... 'cause I am!  I'm also playing along with this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #404.... the image is below!

So what are you waiting for?!

Hello Friend With Craftin Desert Divas

So I think I kinda did it?  A Kind of Clean and Simple Card? KCAS?  There's a lot of white anyway!  I was dying to make a shaker using these Arizona Skies sequins because they are so pretty and I think the colors go perfectly with the April #CDDMONTHLY Challenge...

I used my original Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background for the shaker in some pinks and purples (I picked up some oxides but haven't cracked them open yet).  Then I used the Inside Scallop dies to create my shaker window and filled it up with the pretty new sequin mix.

I colored in my flamingo and flowers using my new watercolor pencils that my friend Jean made me buy.   We do that to each other you know.. They are the Faber Castell Albrecht Durer Watercolor Pencils and a waterbrush and I love them.

I highlighted the the flowers with some glittery gel pens and some Wink of Stella... which shockingly you can kind of see here!  I also mixed my purple and pink embossing powder for the sentiment from the Floral Wreaths stamp set.. the pink wasn't quite dark enough for my liking so adding a little bit of purple helped and I think it looks cool!

I'm linking up to the first challenge over at SheepSki Designs Challenges.  It's Anything Goes... you should check it out!  And don't forget to join in the #CDDMONTHLY Social Media Challenge on Facebook in the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery.

Thanks for stopping by today!
