Day 6 of Coffee-Ode to Sleep

Welcome to Day 6 of the Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Today I'm sharing a project with another one of my faves, Paper Sweeties!  Debbie from Paper Sweeties is a Super Sponsor for the hop again and she's giving away some awesome prizes!  She's giving away a flash prize of a Stamp Set of your choice and also a $25 gift certificate for the main drawings!  There is also a yummy special limited edition sequin mix, Latte Coffee that you can find here!  And there is a sale going on!  I'll have more details at the end of this post.

Don't you just love these sweet lambs from the Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes set?  I often count coffee sheep when I'm trying to sleep.  I only go to sleep because I know I get to get up and have coffee in the morning!

I built my sentiment from a couple different Paper Sweeties sentiments and embossed them in white on a banner cut with the Sweet Cuts ... I love the two different fonts!  And these sweet little flowers from Hello Spring?  They make me swoon...

And then... the cup.. this cup... and that steam... they're from the Keep Calm and Drink Coffee Sweet Cuts set just released this month.  I love that cup... I just might marry it...

Short and sweet today... late night at work.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll come back tomorrow!  I'll have another something sweet for you!

Day 5-Coffee Hop-I Cannot Lie!

Happy Day 5 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Today I'm playing with Paper Smooches and Craftin Desert Divas!  I'm lucky and I live very close to both of these awesome Arizona based businesses and my orders come sooo fast and sometimes even hand delivered :) !

I just LOVE this cutie dino that's included on the March TAM Stamp Set that you can get for free with a $60 order still for a few days!  And that Coffee Cup!  I really had convinced myself I didn't need another To Go Cup die and then I was looking at the awesome samples on the Paper Smooches site that are included when you're viewing each of the products and I realized that that outline on the Cozy Coffee Die cuts separately!  And it makes it so easy to paper piece my papers and now I have the pieces to make three more cups in a similar but different color scheme!  So yeah... I needed it... #amymademebuyit!

I'm also playing along with the March Challenge over at Paper Smooches, Greenery!  You should check it out... you have until tomorrow to enter!

I had also convinced myself that I didn't need this really pretty and adorable alpha set, Elegant Brush Script from Craftin Desert Divas, and then I wanted a sentiment that I didn't have and I thought about this set and took a second look and fell in love and then again when I used it for this card!  Brush lettering is so popular right now and if you don't practice enough to get good at it (um... me), then this is a fantastic substitute... I LOVE it! And I used one of the dies from one of my most used background layers for the largest scalloped rectangle from CDD, Fancy Frames and one of my MFT Scallopped rectangles for the smaller one.

So thanks for stopping by and letting my share with you some more of my favorite stuff!  And please head over to the Coffee Lover's Blog and check out all of the info to play along... you could win some awesome prizes, and you'll definitely meet some very awesome people!  So I hope to see you as I'll be visiting everyone as I usually do.... and don't think I forgot you... I'll get there eventually!

Come back tomorrow for some Paper Sweeties!

Coffee Hop Day 4-A Man Card With Flowers

Happy Day 4 of the Coffee Lovers Hop!  Today I'm using some images from DoveArt Studios (the Cacti and the Boots) and JessicaLynnOriginal (the bucket with tulips).  I'm not sure what brand the coffee cup is from... I went through all of mine and then my mom's stamps to find the right size and style of cup I wanted and this was it...lol!  And of course those pretty hearts I used for the steam are from Paper Sweeties.

If you've never played along with the Coffee Lover's Hop you should check it out here!  It's a lot of fun and there are lots of prizes and our fearless leader Amy Tsuruta is the most awesome!

I colored the bucket gray and then dry brushed some rusty paper paint over it... I mean... it's a birthday card for my brother... so it had to be rusty... you know... because of the flowers...

And the boots... yeah... boots are manly... and coffee... that can be manly... maybe not so much with little heart steam...

And then of course there are the tulips... so ... well... they're not pink anyway...

So basically it's my ode to Spring in the Garden... thanks for stopping by!  See you tomorrow?  Oh... hey... don't forget to check this out:

Coffee Day 3-The Cutting Cafe Custom Stamps

Welcome to Day 3 of the Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  I decided for today to pull out the custom stamp made for me by Regina over at the Cutting Cafe!  I love this set and it has a few different options... today of course I decided to use the coffee cup... but my set also came with the words "Coffee", "Pizza" and "Donuts" and a separate sentiment that says "But Not Before"... so I can really change up what I want to say.

I picked the fonts and everything... love it!  If you have an idea for a custom set, you can get more info here!  That cute little cupcake is from the Mixin Up Memories stamp set... which is really cute too!

I layered those pretty circles with my CDD Stitched in Circles dies.  The paper is from the Sugar & Cream 6x6 paper pad from Doodlebug... it's a cute little coffee, tea and treat themed pack, but there are lots of papers in the pads that are good for any kind of card or project.  I got mine in the Cutting Cafe Shop.

I dressed up my coffee cup with those pretty hearts from Paper Sweeties, a flower from my stash, Doodlebug Sprinkles and that pretty blue ribbon is from the Cutting Cafe Shop where you can find some really pretty ribbon mixes...

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back again tomorrow ... gonna be cropping today so I'll be working on coffee cards all day... I know ... sounds like I'll have lots when I'm done, but I'm thinking maybe two...lol!  See you tomorrow?

Coffee Hop Day 2 - What's A Coffee Hop Without Brentwood?!

Welcome to the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop-Day 2!  If you've never played along...get more info here and join us!

Today we're playing with the most beautiful free image from JessicaLynnOriginal, and you can download it here to play along!  I used it along with another one of Jessica's new coffee related digital images available for purchase in the shop; that great sign and cup holder, and you can see them all here!

This cup image is soooo beautiful!  Love those flowers!  I added the stripes to the cup and I cut out and popped up the flowers.... and do you see what I see hanging there behind it??  I think there really should be cups like that for sale... I'd buy one (Jessica?)...

I made my countertop ... or backsplash? tiled with a little bit of green... that was fun!

So the sign digi comes with that cute cup in the middle as it is with that funny sentiment... I decorated the other two.. I added my initial and that cute little coffee digi from an earlier hop to my cups before I printed the sign.

Thanks for stopping by and please do come back tomorrow for yet another Coffee card!  Yup!   I'll be here all week!  See you around the hop!

But First, Coffee-Day 1 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I've been playing along with the last few Coffee Lovers Hops and I LOVE it!  So much fun!  Amy Tsuruta is the hostess and I don't know how she does it... there are tons of prizes and tons of wonderful people to meet!  For more info go here! or I'd be happy to answer any questions you have... just be sure to leave me your email address so I can get back to you!

For my first project I'm using one of the awesome new digis in the Craftin Desert Divas shop... bunches and bunches of new coffee digis... see the graphic at the end of this post for a look-see!  And those are just the newbies in the shop... there are quite a few cuties that were already available too!  Meet Coffee Hero digital stamp!  Before "Batman" gets started fighting crime today he's taking a few moments to have a cup of java with his good buddy and crime fighting partner... do you know his name?

I also used the most awesome new Building Dies for the background...  the uses for these dies are endless!

And this sentiment comes from another one of the Hero digis that were released this month... you should check them out... not to mention that awesome Bat Car!

Check these out!

And that cutie in the center?  That's the freebie for the hop!  Go on and download it and play along with the hop!

I'll be visiting everyone again this time around... so I really hope to come across your creation over the next week or so (last time it took me a little longer to get around to everyone... but I'll be there... don't worry)

Thanks for stopping to see me!  Come back tomorrow for more coffee goodness!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #204

Welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  This week, I decided to play along with the Stamplorations Monthly Theme And Sketch Challenge (I'm playing along with the theme, Spring!), as well as the Cutplorations Challenge for March which has a beautiful floral theme and the Never Ending Anything Goes Challenge!

Aside from being inspired by this month's AHSC sketch and all of the other challenges I'm participating in... my main inspiration was my former Lessology Design Teammate Lizzy Hill.  If you've never checked out her blog before you must (just click on her name).  She makes the best, most yummy stuff including lots of scrapbook pages.  I was reading her latest blog post yesterday and then thought of the awesome handmade pocket letter she had sent me with all kinds of goodies handmade and not so I set out to find my inner Lizzy by using some of that stuff and a few other items... she sent me that jar with the flowers chipboard piece, the cute little word tags peaking out, and the doily that is behind them, and the pretty jewels I've scattered around... so pretty right.. and there's lots more for future projects so you'll be seeing those!

I was going to use one of the pretty word die cuts that she sent and they really would have fit this perfectly, but then I remembered I hadn't played along with Stamplorations in a while so I checked out the March challenges and decided to use one of the awesome new coffee dies and stamps that I got over there recently... Coffee Hop starts Friday!  I'm ready! I'm ready! Iiiiii'm ready! (as Spongebob likes to sing).  I also pulled out some pretty floral fabric tape that fit the themes (and of course after I adhered it I found the floral washi Lizzy had sent... oh well... guess I have to make another...lol!)

And since what got me started anyway was Lizzy's kraft layout with the awesome stenciled embossing paste background, I used a Stamplorations stencil and some gold texture paste and proceeded to splatter some stuff around... little gold and pink raindrops I think... and for my steam that pretty little heart cluster from Paper Sweeties.. I'll be using that a lot during the Coffee Hop for sure!

So here's this week's sketch!  Come and play with us!

And here's the inspiration photo for the Cutplorations challenge and I used the theme for the Theme and Sketch challenge which is Spring... perfect, right?!

Cutting Cafe Easter Inspiration!

It's time for some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  This time around we're sharing our projects made with of the adorable and cool Easter themed sets in the shop!

Did you know that Regina has bunches of digital stamps in the shop?  I'm using the Egg Wreath Digital Stamp and you can find it here if you must have it!  And it would be quite easy to have Regina make a custom stamp using this image in the size you wanted it if you so desired!  And if you do desire you can get more info about that here!

The set comes with two of the same image in two different sizes.  I cut them both and used them in different ways.  This one I printed and then had my Brother Scan N Cut2 cut it out for me with a border.  Isn't that paper cute??  It's from the Echo Park Spring Paper Pad which you can get at the Cutting Cafe Shop here (if you so desire)...

Look at the cheeks on this cutie!!  I love that you can color the egss any colors you want.  I played up the black in this one by using the paper with a little black in it and...

I also used it for my sentiment banner... love the look of a black banner with a white sentiment!

The smaller of the two images I printed and then used one of my scalloped circle dies to cut it out that way... if you don't like to fussy cut and don't have a brother this is a great alternative... still adds much interest without the bother!

I used all of the same colors in these eggs but changed the locations of the colors a bit... just 'cause... that's how I roll...

The sentiments I used are from the Happy Easter From Your Peeps stamp set available in the Cutting Cafe Shop here (you know... if you want it...) and that paper is also from the same Echo Park pad as the first card.

I had much fun with these printable stamps and making these two cards similar yet different... LOVE this image... thinking about having it made into a clear stamp... just because I can!

Be sure to check out the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 21st for links to all of the Design Team projects!  And if you comment on the main post on the Cutting Cafe Blog, you could win some free files!

Come back soon... Monday starts a new week Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and we'd sure like it if you played along!

Going Green With Paper Smooches!

So there's an awesome color challenge over at Paper Smooches this month, Greenery!  I LOVE green so I decided to make a yummy watercolored background for it using my distress inks, my Gelli Gel Printing Plate, some Ken Oliver Colorbursts and a little Imagine Crafts Shimmer Spray.. it was fun and I made a full sheet so I've got some more to play with...

Love the March TAM (Thanks A Million) set that includes this adorable dinosaur and the adorable sentiment below... and a bunch of other cuties and sentiments you'll be seeing more of at a later date... I used some Paper Smooches (The mountains, the tree, including the clouds that I used to add dimension to my tree) and CDD (the green hills, the grass and the circle window) to create the background.  Popup tape is my friend... here I'm popping out of my window a bit, but I don't mind.

Isn't this sentiment adorable... love the adorable critters and many punny sentiments that Paper Smooches has over at the shop.. you should check it out!  I have the hardest time choosing when I'm there ... I want it all!  In fact I've started a cart right now!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'll be back tomorrow with some Cutting Cafe Inspiration and later this week with some more fun.. don't forget to play along at Paper Smooches!  You have 'til March 29th and the prize.. is pretty awesome!
